The Russian occupiers continue to increase their efforts, do not count their losses and continue to use "meat assault" tactics.
The AFU commander-in-chief, Oleksandr Syrskyy, has made a working visit to military units that are holding defence in Avdiivka and Kupyanskyy and decided to reinforce the military units. He reported about it on Facebook on 14 February.
The operational situation is extremely difficult and tense. The Russian occupants continue to increase their efforts and have a numerical advantage in personnel. Do not count with losses and continue to apply the tactics of "meat assaults", - wrote Syrsky.
Only in the Avdiivka direction over the past day the units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces repulsed 29 attacks of the Russian occupants. In addition, the enemy is actively using aviation, strikes with guided aerial bombs, conducts dense mortar and artillery fire on our positions.
With the Minister of Defence of Ukraine, we heard directly on the ground from the commanders of brigades, tactical groups and groups that are conducting defensive operations in extremely difficult conditions. We jointly analysed the available resources and the needs of our troops. Based on the results of the work, we made a number of important decisions aimed at strengthening the combat capabilities of our military units and preventing enemy actions," Syrskyy said.
The Commander-in-Chief of the AFU said that the Defence Forces are doing everything possible to prevent the enemy from advancing deep into our territory and to hold the occupied positions.
Despite the difficult situation, the Ukrainian Defence Forces inflict significant losses on the enemy. At the same time, we are taking all possible measures to minimise our losses and preserve the lives of our soldiers," Syrskyy stressed.
