Syrsky explained the challenges of his new position and thanked his fellow officers and veterans.
The newly appointed commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyy, has thanked his battle brothers and ambassadors, with whom he served in the ranks of the AFU Ground Forces and the Khortytsya military unit, and spoke about the new tasks he is now facing. He reported about it in his Telegram channel on 9 February.
Dear battle brothers and sisters, with whom I had the honour to serve in the ranks of the Army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and OSUV "Khortytsya"! Thank you for every day of soldiering, spent together on the hard sections of the front of our liberation war! - wrote Syrsky.
He stressed that valour, professionalism, dedication to the defence of the Motherland and perseverance in the performance of combat tasks is the foundation of the stability of our defence and does not allow the enemy to implement the invading intentions.
From the bottom of my heart I thank every soldier, sergeant, officer and general for the joint implementation of operational plans, which allowed to save the lives of thousands of civilians and save the territory of Ukraine from occupation! - thanked the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU.
He noted that new tasks are on the agenda. First of all, it is a clear and detailed planning of actions of all military management bodies, associations, formations and units, taking into account the needs of the front in the latest weapons that come from international partners.
The rapid and rational distribution and delivery of everything necessary for combat units has been and remains the main task of military logistics. Knowing all the needs of the front without exception and mastering the situation at each of its sections is the task of headquarters at all levels," Syrsky wrote.
He noted that it is the qualifications of the personnel of military administration bodies that are crucial for the development and successful implementation of designs and plans.
Life and health of servicemen have always been and are the main value of the Ukrainian Army. Therefore, maintaining a balance between fulfilment of combat tasks and restoration of units and subdivisions with intensification of education and training of personnel remains more relevant than ever, - Syrskyi stressed.
He noted that the introduction of new technical solutions and scaling of successful experience, such as the use of unmanned systems, modern means of electronic warfare is one of the future vectors of building victory in our liberation war.
Only changes and continuous improvement of means and methods of combat operations will allow us to achieve success on this path. And, of course, a reliable rear is one of the main components of the overall success in the war, - summarised the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU.
He thanked the former leaders of the AFU and veterans, who during the 10 years of the Russian-Ukrainian war made every possible effort to restore and acquire the capabilities of the Ukrainian army.
We shall remind you that on 8 February, Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Valeriy Zaluzhnyy from the post of the AFU commander in chief and appointed Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyy to this post.
