Stoltenberg assesses Ukraine's potential to return to 1991 borders
The NATO Secretary General believes the Ukrainian soldiers are showing incredible courage.
NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg believes that the Ukrainians have the strength to push back the Russians to the 1991 borders because the Ukrainian Armed Forces have shown extraordinary courage and perseverance, the NATO secretary-general said in an exclusive interview with TSN.
According to him, the entire world was amazed at how Ukraine was able to repulse the enemy's initial attack and foil the Kremlin's plans to conquer Kiev "in three days".
Instead, the Ukrainian Armed Forces pushed back the invaders to the north at the start of the war, then to the east in the Kharkiv direction, then to the south by liberating Kherson," he said.
He said the Ukrainians had the courage the whole world was watching closely. He also stressed that NATO remained an ally of the Ukrainian state.
So I think the courage, strength and tenacity of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, multiplied by the increasing support of NATO members and partner nations, will make it possible for Ukraine to win this war. And that is extremely important, because otherwise the world would be a much more dangerous and vulnerable place," Stoltenberg summed up.
