Ukrainians are among the most active investors in Turkey

According to experts, interest in real estate in the country has tripled compared to 2021.
At the same time, foreigners are among the most active investors.
The share of transactions with foreign citizens reached 4.9%. Among those who have invested in Turkish squares are 241 Ukrainians, the report says.
Thus, experts emphasize, Ukrainians are among the top five foreign buyers of local housing.
The most popular city among foreign buyers was Istanbul (18.4% of the market). Popular real estate in Ankara (9.4%) and Izmir (5.8%).
At the same time, the Russians became the leaders in buying Turkish real estate. They are in Turkey for the reporting period 1275 houses and apartments.
The second in the ranking were the citizens of Iran, who bought 736 objects. Somewhat less - 617 objects - were purchased by citizens of Iraq.
The top 5 also included Germans who bought 247 properties.
By the way, buying property in Turkey is a direct way to obtaining citizenship in this country. From June 13, 2022, the minimum cost of housing will have to start from $400,000 in order for its owner to become a resident of Turkey. Today, this price tag is $250,000.
The average cost per square meter of real estate in Antalya is $690. Next in terms of cost are the Aydin region (Didim, Kusadasi) - $ 740, housing in Bodrum, Marmaris and Fethiye is more expensive - from $ 1,200 per sq.m. In Ankara, the average selling price per square meter is $355. In Izmir, the average price per square meter is $632.
