Slovak carriers again announce blockade of border with Ukraine
The border blockade in Slovakia will begin on 11 December at 15:00 for freight traffic.
Slovak ha uliers have announced the continuation of the blockade of the border with Ukraine at the Vishne Nemetskoye-Uzhhorod crossing. This was stated in a statement by the Union of Slovak Road Carriers (UNAS).
The Presidium of the Union of Road Carriers of Slovakia (UNAS) has decided to continue the protest action at the border crossing Vyšné Němetské - Užhorod on 11.12.2023 from 15:00 until further notice. Entry to the territory of the Slovak Republic for freight transport will be blocked," the statement said.
It is specified that passenger traffic will not be restricted.
It is reported that the Union of Carriers of Slovakia took this decision based on the assessment of the information received and its impact on the Slovak road transport market.
Thus, Slovakia joins the protests organised in Poland and Hungary.
