3.5 thousand lorries piled up on the border between Poland and Ukraine

Ukrainian truck drivers on the Ukrainian-Polish border have started a retaliatory strike due to the actions of Polish hauliers. This was stated in the Telegram channel Klymenko Time on 10 December.

He pointed out that Ukrainian truckers block the movement of passenger cars on the Polish border.

The message is accompanied by footage of drivers wearing reflective waistcoats walking in a circle in front of cars stopped on the road.

We would like to point out that a queue of 3.5 thousand trucks has formed on the Ukrainian-Polish border due to the blocking of checkpoints by Polish carriers. This was reported by the speaker of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, during a telethon.

He said that the biggest queues have formed in front of the checkpoint Shehyni, where about 1200 trucks are waiting to leave, and at the checkpoint Yahodyn, where 900 vehicles have piled up.

Polish hauliers have been blocking road checkpoints on the border with Ukraine for several weeks. They demand that the previously cancelled permit system for Ukrainian commercial carriers be reinstated, with exceptions for humanitarian aid and supplies for the Ukrainian armed forces.

The queue of trucks on the Polish side starts 50 km before the border and two Ukrainian drivers have already died in it.
