Signal to Putin: Biden delivers speech in Warsaw

US President Joe Biden addressed the Russian people: the West is not going to attack.
During his speech Joe Biden said that Ukraine will survive:
Despite a stability that has lasted more than 70 years, again there is a risk that this stability will collapse. About a year ago everyone thought Kiev was about to fall. I have just been to Kiev and I can say that it stands and stands proud. When the Russians attacked Ukraine, they wanted to test the whole world. They tested Europe and NATO, whether democracy was working.
Biden stressed that NATO had not disintegrated as Putin wanted:
But now NATO will also be in Finland and Sweden. Putin thought NATO would fall apart, but NATO has become even stronger. He thought Europe would not cooperate, but now we don't need Russian oil. And democracy continues to hold on and grow.
Biden turned to the Russians:
Today I address the Russians again. The US and European states are not seeking to destroy Russia and the West is not going to attack the Russian people. Millions of Russians would like to live in peace, they are not our enemies. This is a tragedy and that choice was made by Putin. He can end the war with one word. If Russia stops its aggression, the war will stop. If Ukraine stops defending itself, it will be the end of Ukraine. That is why we are helping Ukraine to defend itself.
Biden also said that Ukraine's fight can go on for a long time and there will be many tragedies:
We can be proud of many things we have done over the past year, but we have to be honest. Defending freedom is not something we can do in a day or a week. It is a very long process. And Ukraine is fighting against this invasion, it can go on for a long time and there will be many more tragedies. The US and our partners will support Ukraine in its fight for independence.
The US President also highlighted the courage of the Ukrainians in his speech:
When President Putin gave the order for his tanks to invade Ukraine, he was wrong. The people of Ukraine proved much stronger, and the whole world from the Atlantic to the Pacific united. And instead of the easy victory he expected, he left burned tanks and defeated troops.
At the same time, Biden stressed that every NATO member knows, and the Russians know, that an attack against one NATO country is an attack on all the countries of the alliance, it is an attack on all our territories. Within a year, the US has built a coalition to confront Russia. But it is a fight for what we want to create - to build peace. It is our responsibility
