Biden makes new statement on military aid to Ukraine during visit to Kyiv


The new aid package is estimated at $500 million.
US President Joe Biden has arrived in Ukraine, where he has made a series of announcements about a new aid package for Ukraine.
Today in Kyiv, I am meeting with President Zelensky and his team for an extended discussion about our support for Ukraine. I will announce another shipment of critical equipment.
In particular, the aid package will include artillery ammunition, anti-tank systems and air surveillance radars to help protect the Ukrainian people from aerial bombardment.
The new aid package is valued at $500 million.
As we approach the anniversary of Russia's brutal invasion of Ukraine, I'm in Kyiv today to meet with President Zelenskyy and reaffirm our unwavering commitment to Ukraine's democracy, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

Also this week, additional sanctions from the US against Russian elites and companies will be announced.
Furthermore, Vladimir Zelenski said that the results of the meeting would be visible on the battlefield.
