The families of the dead state employees and journalists are offered to pay one million hryvnias


More than 20 journalists have been killed in Ukraine since the beginning of the war.
The Verkhovna Rada has registered a bill on payments for the injury or death of state employees and journalists during the war with Russia. The document has already been sent to the relevant committee for consideration. This is stated on the website of the Verkhovna Rada .
The explanatory note to the draft law No. 7353 on payments to state employees and journalists for harm caused to health or death during the war against Russia against Ukraine in the performance of their duties states that the document was developed in order to determine the legal and organizational framework for establishing one-time cash payments to these categories of Ukrainians.
The bill provides for the following one-time payments to state employees and journalists or members of their families:
- in case of death (death) resulting from injury (concussion, trauma) - 1 million hryvnia;
- upon receipt of a disability group from III to I, which occurred as a result of injury (concussion, trauma) in the amount of 200 to 800 thousand hryvnia.
The bill was registered in the Rada on May 5 and sent to the committee on social policy and protection of veterans' rights.
It is known that 20 Ukrainian journalists have been killed in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war against Russia.
