All sanctions restrictions previously applied by the Czech Republic to Medvedchuk now apply across the EU.

The EU has imposed sanctions against former Ukrainian MP Viktor Medvedchuk, Putin's crony, the Czech Foreign Ministry has said. This was announced by the Czech Foreign Ministry on 27 May.

At the suggestion of the Czech Republic, three organisations working in favour of the Kremlin regime were added to the EU sanctions list," the ministry said.

All the restrictions that the Czech Republic had already applied to them are now valid for all 27 EU member states.

For Medvedchuk, this means a ban on entry and transit through all EU member states. All funds and economic resources of Medvedchuk's legal entities are frozen throughout the EU.

Earlier Socialportal reported that Putin's cum Medvedchuk was detained in April 2022.

In September 2022, a prisoner exchange took place, during which 215 of its citizens and several foreigners were returned to Ukraine. Among them were the commanders of the Azov regiment.

At the same time, Viktor Medvedchuk himself was exchanged for 55 people.
