According to British intelligence, the Russians could take this step because of the recent change in the level of local security threat in connection with the strengthening of Ukraine's ability to deliver long-range strikes.

The Russian Black Sea Fleet Command has almost certainly redeployed its Kilo-class submarines from its home port of Sevastopol in Crimea to Novorossiysk in Krasnodar Krai in southern Russia, the report says.

According to British intelligence, the Russians could take this step because of the recent change in the level of local security threat in connection with the strengthening of Ukraine's ability to deliver long-range strikes.

At present, the security of the base is directly undermined by Russia's ongoing aggression against Ukraine.
