A Russian agent who aimed missiles at the Kharkiv Regional State Administration and other civilian buildings has been given a life sentence.

Throughout February-April 2022, the convict collected information about the AFU and infrastructure in Kharkiv. The man interviewed local residents, independently observed and recorded data. He passed the collected information to two female employees of the Russian security services via a social network banned in Ukraine.
One of them now lives in Moscow. In 2014, she was in the occupied territory in Donetsk region, where she served in the ranks of the so-called dnr as a nurse. The other handler lives in St. Petersburg and is the head of the pro-Russian organisation Save Donbass," the Prosecutor-General's Office said.

Kharkiv man published messages in social networks, in which he denied Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine and approved the actions of the military of the aggressor state. He distributed a publication with pro-Russian propaganda that "in the city of Merefa American scientists are testing dangerous biological drugs on patients", - stated in the message.
At the place of residence of the attacker searched and found computer equipment, with the help of which he carried out his subversive activities, as well as a carbine model "Fort-202", ammunition for the gun, the body of the grenade, which he illegally acquired and stored at home.
The court found the Kharkiv resident guilty of high treason, distribution of materials justifying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, illegal processing of firearms, illegal handling of weapons (part 2 of article 111, part 2 of article 436-2, part 1 of article 263-1, part 1 of article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
He was sentenced to life imprisonment with confiscation of property. At the moment, the period for appealing the decision is still running.
