Russia is trying to capture Kramatorsk and Severodonetsk - British intelligence

This was reported by the British Ministry of Defense on Twitter.

"Russia has deployed 22 battalion tactical groups near Izyum in an attempt to advance along the northern axis of Donbass. Despite the fact that the Russian Federation is trying to break through the Ukrainian defenses and build momentum, it most likely intends to go beyond Izyum to capture the cities of Kramatorsk and Severodonetsk," the message says.

It is noted that the seizure of these places will consolidate Russian military control over the northeastern Donbass and become a springboard for their efforts to cut off Ukrainian forces in the region.
