- Russia has refused to exchange Catholic and Muslim prisoners of war - Lubinets

Ukraine offered to exchange prisoners of war on Oraza Bayram and Easter, but Russia ignored the proposed lists.
This was reported by the Ukrainian parliamentary commissioner for human rights, Dmytro Lubinets, in Telegram.
According to the ombudsman, Ukraine proposed to exchange prisoners of war who profess Islam and are Catholics on the occasion of Oraz Bayram and Easter.
The proposed exchange formula is 1 to 4, in which the number of returned Russian prisoners would exceed the number of those returned by the Ukrainian side," Lubinets said.
According to him, Ukraine's proposed list for the exchange included one Catholic and 146 Muslims. The Russian Federation ignored the proposed lists.
As we can see, even the Pope's message did not add motivation to the Russians to carry out the exchange either according to the "all for all" formula or under other conditions. Despite such unreasonable behaviour of the Russian side, Ukraine expresses its readiness to carry out an exchange under the "all for all" formula on the occasion of the celebration of Orthodox Easter," the ombudsman added.
The proposal was also sent to the Russian side accordingly. Dmytro Lubinets additionally addressed the Russian human rights ombudsman, Tatyana Moskalova, on this occasion.
