Putin tells why he did not attack Ukraine in 2014

Russia has been stockpiling weapons for strikes against Ukraine all this time.
The Kremlin chief accused of war crimes in Ukraine, who initiated a brutal war, explained to Russian propagandists why he did not attack Ukraine in 2014 when his troops seized Crimea.
According to him, Russia was not ready to launch a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2014 because of the lack of certain types of weapons and the situation in the Russian economy.
We did not have hypersonic weapons then, but we do now. There are other modern systems, and there was nothing like that in 2014," Putin said.
The Russian dictator, who has admitted he was preparing for a military invasion of Ukraine, said he sees a "peaceful resolution of the conflict".
