Psaki explained why Harris lost the election

Kamala Harris' age allows her to try her hand at the next election and run for governor.
The Democrats in the US lost to the Republicans because they failed to properly use non-traditional media. This was stated by former White House press secretary Jen Psaki, The Hill reports .
She pointed out that the number of people looking for information on podcasts, websites, mailing list channels, information platforms is growing and people do not bother to check what they are reading, listening, watching. In this case, as Psaki pointed out, there is a good chance that voters will "consume" misinformation.
One of the things that has changed since I got into politics is the growing percentage of people who are getting their information from platforms that have no fact-checking mechanisms and no accountability for spreading misinformation," Psaki said.
She also noted that traditional media adhere to standards of information presentation and try to equally provide a platform for different points of view, besides, TV, radio, newspapers work relying on official, verified sources. However, the role of such media in the U.S. election campaign was marginalised because people tended to get their information from non-traditional sources.
Psaki called it a global problem and emphasised that the rules on the use of information channels that spread misinformation should be reviewed.
Laws need to change. I don't even know the full answer to that question, but I think it's a major problem," she added.
