Brazilian president demands end to Western support for Ukraine

Lula da Silva spoke during an official visit to China.
Brazil's president, who is visiting China, has called on the USA and the EU to stop "encouraging war" and supplying weapons to Ukraine. This was reported by The Guardian.
In his opinion, this way they will be able to "convince" the Russian and Ukrainian presidents "to start talking about peace".
The United States needs to stop encouraging war and start talking about peace. The European Union needs to start talking peace," Lula told reporters in Beijing.
China is Brazil's main trading partner. The main purpose of Lula da Silva's visit to Beijing was to strengthen bilateral relations and to give the impression that "Brazil has once again become an important player on the world stage".
The Brazilian leader will soon visit the UAE.
It should be noted that neither China nor Brazil has imposed sanctions against Russia since the start of the country's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, as they seek to position themselves as mediators to achieve peace.
