Elderly people walked several kilometers to get out of the occupied village

Near the villages on the front line, heavy fighting is going on, settlements are shelled daily from multiple launch rocket systems.
12 elderly people on foot got out from under the Russian occupation in the Kherson region and were able to get to the nearest village to the front line, controlled by Ukraine. This was reported by the communication department of the police of the Kherson region.
Men and women of advanced age covered several kilometers on foot and crossed the river Ingulets.
When the Ukrainian law enforcement officers reassured them, they said that in the village where they came from, there are still about a hundred civilians who do not want or cannot leave their homes. For security reasons, the police did not name the place where the people came from.
The police took the men and women to the safety of a makeshift shelter away from the war zone.
It is noted that it is now extremely difficult to get out of the territory occupied by the Russians and there are practically no safe ways. Near the villages on the front line, heavy fighting is going on, settlements are shelled daily from multiple launch rocket systems.
