Russia's frontline losses stand at 200,000 - NATO commander in Europe

Kavoli stressed that "the scale of this war is unbelievable".
More than 200,000 Russian soldiers and more than 1,800 officers have been killed or wounded since the invasion of Ukraine last February, General Christopher Kavoli, commander of NATO's Joint Force Europe, has said, Spiegel reported.
Russia has lost more than 2,000 main battle tanks so far. More than 200,000 Russian soldiers and more than 1,800 officers were killed or wounded," Kavoli said.
He also noted that the scale of the war was "unbelievable", with the Russian army firing more than 23,000 artillery shells a day.
In Kavoli's view, after Russia's attack on Ukraine, NATO must adjust to the new reality.
If someone comes with a tank, you should also have a tank. however, one of the lessons of the cold war is that the accuracy of weapons is what matters. in addition, the production capacity of the defence industry matters. the war is won by whoever can produce faster," he said.
