Almost seven hours of operation: doctors rescued a boy injured in an explosion in Chernihiv


Yesterday, during an exhibition of ammunition in Chernigov, one of the exhibits exploded, children were injured.
The operation lasted about seven hours for a 2-year-old boy who suffered from an RPG explosion at an arms exhibition in Chernihiv. The child's condition remains stable. Suspilny was told about this by the acting director. Director General of the Children's Regional Hospital Tatyana Lebedeva.
Computed tomography of the brain was performed. Today, on September 4, a council of surgical and ophthalmological specialists gathered. The child is now in the intensive care unit, she said.
She noted that doctors are currently trying to get the child out of medication sleep in order to proceed with further treatment.
It is known that in addition to a two-year-old boy, during the RPG explosion, a four-year-old boy and a 13-year-old teenager were injured. They received acoustic trauma - the so-called stunning. Another 7th child had stitches on his arm in the hospital, and he was also diagnosed with a concussion. Two more brothers, aged 10 and 12, have already been sent home. The eldest has a torso injury.
The specialized prosecutor's office in the military and defense sphere of the Central region will exercise procedural guidance on criminal proceedings on the fact of violation of the rules for handling weapons (part 2 of article 414 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
In turn, the President of Ukraine called on the investigating authorities to find and punish those responsible.
