Zelensky said that all those responsible for the tragedy in Chernihiv will be punished

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky promises to punish those whose fault children were blown up at an arms exhibition in Chernihiv. This was discussed in the President's evening address .

Unfortunately, today we have an absolutely unacceptable event - in the city of Chernihiv in the afternoon, at a public event in the city center, an explosion was heard, a grenade launcher went off. Among the victims are children. The little boy is now in serious condition in intensive care, the president said.

At the same time, he called on law enforcement officers to find out as soon as possible who brought a loaded weapon to a public event and why children were nearby.

I call on representatives of local authorities throughout the country, all our law enforcement officers to follow very closely so that this never happens anywhere else, the Ukrainian leader urged.

It should be noted that on Saturday, September 3, in Chernihiv, an explosion sounded at an exhibition of ammunition - military weapons went off. As a result, 4 children and one adult were injured. Among the injured is a 2-year-old boy, he is in critical condition.

It is preliminary known that a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher went off at the exhibition.

It is known that the case is handled by a specialized prosecutor's office in the military and defense sphere and the State Bureau of Investigation. The production was opened on the fact of violation of the rules for handling weapons (part 2 of article 414 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
