The visit of Pope Francis to Canada is scheduled for the end of July. After that, he hopes to visit the capitals of Ukraine and the Russian Federation as soon as possible.

Francis said that he would like to visit Moscow in order to serve the "cause of peace" and persuade the Russian leadership to end the war against Ukraine.
