A year ago, Russian troops insidiously blew up the Kakhovskaya HPP dam. The final scale of the damage cannot yet be established. Liquidation of the consequences of the man-made disaster continues.
A year ago, after Russian troops blew up the Kakhovskaya HPP dam, police officers, State Emergency Service rescuers, military personnel and volunteers launched a large-scale rescue operation. The video was shown by the National Police.
Then it was possible to evacuate about three thousand residents of Kherson region. Often the rescue took place under enemy fire, which did not subside for a day.
Due to uncontrolled water leakage 49 settlements were flooded, including 17 in the temporarily occupied territory. About 4 thousand houses were flooded.
As a result of the man-made disaster 33 people died, 28 were injured, among them 5 policemen. 158 people are missing, 64 of them have been located.
Pre-trial investigation bodies have launched 188 criminal cases related to the consequences of the Kakhovskaya HPP explosion. Police officers received almost 9 thousand property damage reports and conducted about 4 thousand inspections.
It is still impossible to establish the final scale of the damage caused. Elimination of the consequences of the man-made disaster continues.
