Residents of Odessa are asked not to swim in the sea - it's dangerous there

Odessa beaches were massively filled with citizens, despite the danger of mining the sea and coast.

OVA speaker Serhiy Bratchuk called on locals and guests of the city "not to join the cohort of the so-called immortals," and stressed that the mine danger in Odessa is still relevant. He announced this on the air of the national telethon on May 29 .

Bratchuk stressed that the water area and the Black Sea coast are mined, and therefore it is impossible to swim there. He clarified that we are talking not only about Odessa beaches, but also about the entire coast of the region.

I hope that in the near future - lawyers are already working on this - the relevant provisions of the law will make it possible to hold a person accountable for such actions. After all, it is not only about violating the conditions of martial law and public order. We are talking about the fact that today the authorities, regional and city, are trying to save people as much as possible. This is no exaggeration. I would very much not like, excuse me, that the hands, feet and heads of Odessans, or others who want to sunbathe in mined areas, would fly over the Black Sea, - he said.

Bratchuk also called the irresponsible decision of parents to bring children to mined beaches cynical.

Earlier it was reported that the occupiers mined the exclusive sea zone of Ukraine, using from 400 to 600 sea mines. This was stated by the press secretary of the head of the Odessa Regional Military Administration Sergey Bratchuk in his Telegram channel.

These mines periodically break from anchors, in particular, during a storm, and spontaneously drift off the coast of Turkey, Bulgaria, Ukraine, he said.
