New conscription evasion schemes exposed in three regions of Ukraine

All of them offered military conscripts to avoid conscription by using false volunteer certificates or disguised as drivers of international flights.

The cost of such "services" was up to 7,000 US dollars per evader. The amount depended on the region and the urgency of "solving the issue," the Security Service of Ukraine said.

Cherkassy

A representative of the military medical commission in Cherkassy has been detained. The official promised to issue to evaders the status of a volunteer, which allows travelling outside the cornon allegedly to transport humanitarian aid.

Sumy

SBU officers liquidated the scheme of illegal crossing of the state border of military conscripts as drivers of international cargo flights.

After receiving money, the attackers formalised their clients in the "staff" of specially created enterprises-carriers, carrying out foreign transportations, - explained in the security service.

The attackers were detained while trying to transport 8 "truckers" with forged documents abroad.

Lviv region

A fictitious firm of international transportations was created by a local criminal, who attracted three accomplices to illegal activities. The criminals tried to organise the departure of Ukhilyans abroad as if to transport commercial goods. They also used a fake company.

It is noted that the investigation continues on all exposed facts. Law enforcers establish all the circumstances of the offences and bringing the perpetrators to justice. The attackers face up to 9 years of imprisonment.
