The publication writes that it is Ukraine that can get elite real estate for its use.
Russian-owned properties include a 19th-century castle on the border between Kent and East Sussex, which Russian diplomats and FSB officers use for recreation. Also on the list is the second largest house in London after Buckingham Palace, owned by sanctioned Russian billionaire Andrey Guryev, the article says.
The Times notes that the value of some properties can reach 100 million pounds.
At the same time, the publication adds that Ukrainian Ambassador to Britain Vadym Prystaiko is already looking for a lawyer to bring Russia to court. He hopes that a British court will confiscate the property or force Russia to sell it and share some of the profits.
We will remind, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky proposed to create a mechanism for the confiscation of Russia’s frozen assets. According to him, the proceeds will be used to compensate victims of Russian aggression.
