about author The Russian invaders have begun to strengthen the defence of the deepest rear. That is, they are preparing for defence throughout the temporarily occupied territory.
This was reported by Melitopol mayor Ivan Fedorov in Telegram.
The occupiers claim that the counter-offensive in Zaporizhzhya has already failed, but have started to strengthen the "deep rear" and reinforce the defence on the "third line"," Fedorov wrote.
According to him, the Russians are now:
- near the front line in the Polohovsky district - are strengthening defences and digging new trenches;
- in villages near Tokmak - occupying houses and placing new equipment. In the city itself, the occupants have set up roadblocks and placed anti-tank hedgehogs;
- on the Azov coast - they take over new holiday resorts, and at Berdyansk airfield they place helicopters;
- ex-prisoners are being brought in to repel Robotino and hold the front.
Earlier, the MoD's Main Intelligence Directorate reported that more and more Russians want to surrender. After a successful special operation with a Mi-8 helicopter pilot, the number of appeals increased to 70 per cent.
