Similarly, the Russian military was stationed in Belarus before the invasion of Ukraine in February.

Satellite images were recorded at the training grounds in Belarus by Russian MiG-31K fighters, next to which there are containers where Kinzhal missiles can be stored. Moreover, there are tents with the Russian military nearby. Radio Liberty writes about this with reference to satellite images from Planet Labs.

The report says that at the 230th combined-arms training ground Obuz-Lesnovsky near Baranovichi (Brest region), two tent camps have been set up. The dimensions of the larger one are 150x220 meters. Next to it is another tent camp - 90x90 meters. In total, at least 150 tents have been set up. Nearby, remove about 200 pieces of military equipment, mostly trucks.

Also, next to the Russian positions, a field hospital measuring 100 by 80 meters will be deployed.

At the Repishcha military training ground near Osipovichi (Mogilev region), at least 35 military tents were seen from the satellite. Nearby is a parking lot for equipment (150 by 150 meters), and on it are trucks and several cars that look like howitzers

Recall that on October 31, the self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed a draft agreement with Russia on the establishment of Russian-Belarusian training centers for joint training of the armed forces. Back in mid-October, echelons with Russian military began to arrive at the main Belarusian training grounds and the construction of new military infrastructure facilities began.

The exact number of Russian troops in Belarus is still unknown. Alyaksandr Lukashenka gave the number of 9,000, Ukrainian intelligence speaks of 20,000 mobilized Russians.
