- IAEA mission on its way to Zaporizhzhya NPP encountered mines

Representatives of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on their way to the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant came across anti-personnel mines.
This was reported by the commander of the operational-strategic grouping of troops, "Tavria", Oleksandr Tarnavskyy, in Telegram.
Today, 3 August, in the morning, Ukrainian sappers discovered two Russian anti-personnel mines placed on the road of the IAEA representatives. The experts were travelling to the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant.
The mines were defused, which made it possible to ensure the safety of the experts," Tarnavskyy added.
Situation at Zaporizhzhya NPP
Earlier, Enerhoatom reported that the occupants continue to mine the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, so the situation at the plant remains difficult. According to the President of the company Petro Kotin, they continue to use ZNPP as their military base. After the information about possible additional plant mining, IAEA experts conducted an inspection, but the Russians did not provide an opportunity to inspect the roof of the power units.
However, during the inspection on 23 July, the IAEA found several anti-personnel mines at the plant.
