Russian defence ministry, killing child in Zaporizhzhya at night, says it has achieved its goal by destroying a strategic facility


The Russian Federation shelled Zaporizhzhya at night. A child and the girl's father were killed.
The Russian Defence Ministry has said that while shelling Zaporizhzhya at night, its troops did not hit a residential area, but a "fuel storage facility" of the Ukrainian armed forces. The statement was made on a Telegram of the aggressor country's agency .
A high-precision missile strike near the city of Zaporizhzhya destroyed a storage facility with 70,000 tonnes of fuel stockpiled to support the AFU grouping in Donbass," the report reads.
In fact, the Russians shelled the residential sector of Zaporizhzhya. Specifically, an enemy missile hit a private sector and destroyed a residential house where people were sleeping at the time.
An 11-year-old girl and her 50-year-old father were killed in the strike. The 46-year-old mother was injured. She was taken to hospital. The couple's eldest daughter was visiting at the time of the shelling and was not injured.
