Trains will run between Uzhhorod and Frankivsk


Part of the route will pass through the territory of Romania.
Lviv railway intends to launch a new route. The railway communication will connect Uzhgorod and Ivano-Frankivsk, the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration reported .
They noted that the train will also pass through Romania. So, about 30 km of the route will run through a neighboring country.
From Ivano-Frankivsk the road leads to Rakhiv and near the village of Delovoye enters Romanian territory. The railway returns to Ukraine near the village of Teresva, Tyachevsky district, the administration said.
They added that this message has already been used before. However, it was canceled due to smuggling.
The resumption of the route will facilitate communication between the regions, will contribute to the comfort of citizens in planning trips to neighboring regions, - said Miroslav Biletsky, First Deputy Chairman of the Transcarpathian OVA.
According to the proposals of Ukrzaliznytsia, the train will run from Uzhgorod through Teresva and the international railway checkpoint "Teresva - Kimpulung-la-Tisa" to the city of Sziget Marmatsiy. From Ivano-Frankivsk, the route will pass through Rakhiv, Barlibash, the international checkpoint for the railway communication "Business - Valya Visheuluy" to Sziget.
The travel time of the train and the estimated start of the route are not specified.
