On January 2nd, Russia attacked Ukraine with missiles, including several explosions in the capital.
As a result of a missile attack in Solomenskiy district, a multi-storey building caught fire; this was reported by Kyiv mayor Vitaliy Klitschko.
So far, it is known about 13 people injured in the house where the fire occurred. Of them, 12 people were hospitalised. All emergency services are working at the scene.
Updated: as of 09:09, there were 16 victims in the multi-storey building; 15 were hospitalized - Klitschko.
According to Klitschko, Kyiv also recorded:
- fire in several places in Podilskyi, Desnyanskyi and Obolonskyi districts;
- a hit to a social infrastructure building in the Svyatoshynskyi district;
- hits in the roof of a multi-storey building in Pechersky district.

At the same time, DTEK reports the lack of power supply to some houses in Shevchenkivskyi, Svyatoshynskyi, Goloseevskyi, Podilskyi districts and Obolon.
Also, due to the Russian attack, there is no light in Kyiv Region's Buchanskiy and Vyshgorodskyy districts.
