Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the blockade of the transit of certain goods to Kaliningrad "is akin to a declaration of war."

Alexander Lukashenko believes that "blocking transit" to the Kaliningrad region through Lithuania is a declaration of war. This was stated by the leader of the Belarusian regime Alexander Lukashenko during negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Lithuania. Recently, there has been a growing flow of information about their plan to stop transit from Russia through Belarus to Kaliningrad, to isolate Kaliningrad. Well, listen, this is akin to declaring some kind of war already, this is unacceptable,” Lukashenka said.

He also added that such a policy "is disgusting and aggressive."

Lukashenka also said that he was very "annoyed" by the situation and the policy pursued by the countries neighboring Belarus.

You know in general terms: this is the leadership of Poland and the leadership of Lithuania. Politics aimed at confrontation. And you have enough of them, especially in Ukraine. Recently, most of the mercenaries are from Poland. I don't understand why they need this confrontation. But it is clear that they are standing behind and pushing. But the policy is disgusting, the behavior is aggressive,” Lukashenka added.

At the same time, Putin assured that Russia would provide the appropriate weapons to the Belarusian army in order to strengthen the so-called defense of the "Union State" against the backdrop of the aggressive actions of the West.

Lukashenka arrived in Moscow on June 24. During his visit, he planned to hold talks with Putin.

Recall, on June 18, the governor of the Kaliningrad region of Russia, Anton Alikhanov, said that Lithuania had stopped passing through its territory transit trains with goods that fell under the sanctions of the European Union. Lithuanian customs and border guards stopped the movement of Russian trucks through the territory of Lithuania with goods against which EU sanctions have been imposed.

The Russian Foreign Ministry summoned the head of the Lithuanian embassy in Moscow in connection with the ban on the transit of goods by rail through Lithuanian territory to the Kaliningrad region. The Russian ministry called Lithuania's actions an "openly hostile" provocation and a violation of international legal obligations.
