The council also plans to completely block broadcasting of the channel.
These events were preceded by a scandal with one of the anchors of the channel. Last week the journalist said in a live broadcast that the channel could help Russian servicemen with equipment at the front. After that the anchor was fired. But the wave of discontent has not subsided.
It is worth recalling that Dozhd is a channel with Russian journalists who moved to Riga after Russia started invading Ukraine.
