There are already countries willing to provide fighters as part of the coalition.

This was stated by Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba on the air of the United News TV marathon.

According to Kuleba, an "aviation coalition" to provide Ukraine with Western fighter jets may be formed as early as this year.

There are also the first concrete steps in this direction from Ukraine's partner countries. For instance, some countries are ready to train Ukrainian pilots. In addition, there are countries that are ready to provide combat aircraft, but only as part of an "aviation coalition".

This is all the result of international contacts of the President and all of us who work on the diplomatic front. Our priority is the F-16s, but we are not cancelling other aircraft options. It is just like with tanks.

Kuleba gave the situation with Leopard tanks as an example. At that time Western countries also did not dare to supply these tanks. The situation changed after Great Britain was the first to announce that it would provide Ukraine with Challenger-2 full-fledged heavy tanks.
