Belarus asserts that nothing in practical terms has been done to deliver nuclear weapons.

Belarus's permanent representative to the UN, Valentin Rybakov, said this during a debate at the UN.

According to Rybakoŭ, the tactical nuclear weapons that Russia promised to transfer have not yet been deployed on the territory of Ukraine.

This announcement of the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons in the Republic of Belarus is first of all just a statement. Nothing in the practical sense has been done in this respect.

Rybakov also stated that any decision in this area would be a decision of Belarus, not of anyone else.

It is worth recalling that on 25 March, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russian nuclear weapons would be deployed in Belarus by July.
