Ukrainian law enforcers have established new facts of criminal activity of the owner of a large financial and industrial group. He has already been in custody on suspicion of fraud since 2023. This was reported in the SBU, the National police and the Office of the Prosecutor General.

According to the investigation, the businessman is involved in the organisation of a contract killing of the director of a law firm in 2003. In this way, the defendant hoped to take revenge on his lawyer for refusing to participate in a deal with the assets of a metallurgical plant," the SBU said.

The defendant demanded from the lawyer to cancel the decision of the general meeting of shareholders of the industrial facility. When the lawyer refused, the businessman attracted a criminal group.

The bandits attacked the owner of the law firm when he was leaving a shop in the centre of Feodosia in Crimea. Four bandits hit the victim with a metal bar on the head and stabbed him in the chest, stomach and back

Thanks to timely medical assistance, doctors managed to save the man's life. Subsequently, all four attackers were detained and sentenced to prison terms.

Law enforcers informed the organiser of the commissioned crime of suspicion under part 4 of article 27, part 2 of article 15, paragraphs 11, 12, part. 2 article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (attempted premeditated murder).
