North Korean troops take part in battles against the Ukrainian army.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has said that he "invariably" supports Russia in the war with Ukraine and considers the war itself a "just cause of the Russian army". This is reported by Reuters, referring to the statements of the North Korean leader.

At the same time, he said that the DPRK people and the military will support the Russians in the war.

In his opinion, Russia, which attacked Ukraine, is thus defending its sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.

The army and people of the DPRK will always support and encourage the just cause of the Russian army and people to defend their sovereignty, security and territorial integrity in accordance with the spirit of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty between the DPRK and Russia," Kim said.

He also stressed that Russia and the DPRK have signed a cooperation treaty and threatened enemies with nuclear weapons.

Our country's nuclear forces are invariably designed for real combat use in an attempt to quickly cut off the source of any attempted invasion by hostile forces," North Korean news agency KCNA quoted Kim's statement as saying.

As previously reported, North Korea sent its military contingent to Russia last autumn to participate in the war against Ukraine. According to intelligence reports from different countries, we are talking about 10-12 thousand DPRK soldiers. The North Korean military is involved in combat operations on the territory of the Kursk region against the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

Earlier, Trump promised to resume relations with North Korea and Kim Jong-un, noting that this is a "great asset" for the whole world.
