Sergei Gridin, an enlisted man, was known to be 20 years old.

Serhiy was found hanging from a belt which he had hooked to a metal ladder of a water tower, UNIAN reported.

He had a suicide note with him, in which he wrote:

I do not want to obey people who inspire nothing but fear and disgust. You have failed to break me and will not succeed... I have decided to die here, on my native soil, without other people's blood on my hands.

A fellow soldier managed to photograph Gridin's suicide note before the command took it away.

Journalists report that the note is missing from the case file.

UNIAN reports:

Before his suicide, the guy wrote that he had been "rotated to Ukraine", from which no one had ever returned alive from his company. The guy did not want to fight, according to his fellow soldiers, he was very peace-loving
