Buses with evacuated people from Azovstal and other areas of Mariupol arrived in Zaporozhye.
According to the Minister of Reintegration Irina Vereshchuk, a total of 156 people were evacuated.
According to her, several hundred more people remain on the territory of the enterprise.
Mariupol Mayor Vadim Boychenko thanked everyone who made it possible to save Mariupol residents.
We are grateful to all the participants in the evacuation mission - the UN representatives, the International Red Cross and Minister Irina Vereshchuk. Thanks to our combined efforts, we managed to save Mariupol residents from this hell,” he stressed.
The UN coordinator said that the organization is ready to repeat the operation to evacuate civilians from Azovstal.
