Russians use Iranian drones in attacks on Ukraine.
The Israeli military destroyed an assembly center for Iranian drones in Syria, near Damascus, by airstrike, covering it with bombs on Friday, October 21. This is stated in the report of the Syrian Human Rights Monitoring Center (SOHR).
The warehouse of finished products and production equipment were also destroyed.
These are the same drones that Iran supplies to the Kremlin. The destroyed plant was located near the Damascus airport in the west of Rif Dimashka. Recently, this military airport has been completely controlled by the Iranians and militants supported by them, and in January 2022, shipments of weapons, ammunition and components for the collection of drones were delivered there.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that more Iranian military drones could be on their way to Russian forces. At the same time, Blinken noted that the United States is working to counter Iranian efforts and strengthen Ukraine's ability to repel attacks.
The Russian Federation has recently been massively using kamikaze drones for attacks on Ukraine, which experts identify as Iranian Shahed-136, and Russian forces use them under the name Geran. Tehran has repeatedly denied transferring the drones to Russia. But the West is sure that Tehran is just lying.
