It became known how many losses and thefts of weapons were recorded in Ukraine

On the territory of Ukraine over the last two years more than 178 thousand weapons were lost or stolen, which is 30 per cent of the total number of missing and stolen weapons in the Register since 1920. This follows from the data of Opendatabot.

It is indicated that a significant number of barrels were missing or stolen in February 2022. At that time, the police recorded 24,677 such cases, when in the whole of 2021, missing or stolen - 19,829 guns. At the same time, missing in February 2022 is considered 80 per cent and stolen 20 per cent of the recorded figure.

Most stolen weapons were recorded in Sumy region - 10 234 units, and more lost - in Zaporizhzhya region - 28 076 units.

It is noted that in 2023 such cases became less. So, for incomplete 11 months the number of lost and lost weapons decreased to 65,371 units.

Most often lost or stolen in Ukraine hunting rifles. Such - 28.46%. Automatics in the list - 24.93%, carbines - 12.89%. The rest are pistols and carbines.

It is indicated that more than half of the lost and stolen weapons - 54.3% falls on rifled means, another 29.26% - on smoothbore weapons and 7.33% - on weapons under the rubber ball.

It is noted that 69.6 per cent of lost and stolen weapons are of foreign manufacture.
