Intelligence confirmed the use of Starlink by Russian troops

The Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry has confirmed the use of Starlink satellite communication systems by the Russian military at the frontline and published an intercept of the Russians' conversation. This was stated in a report by the GUR on 11 February.

Radio intercept of the conversation of the invaders shows that in order to establish access to the Internet terminals Starlink installed, for example, in units of the 83rd ODShB of the Russian Armed Forces, - stated in the message.

It is noted that the occupation troops of the 83rd Airborne Assault Brigade of the Russian Federation operate in Donetsk region near Kleshcheevka and Andreevka.

Earlier, the representative of the GUR Andrey Yusov in comments to the media noted that the scale of the use of Starlink terminals by the Russians in the war is growing.

The SpaceX company, which operates the Starlink satellite communications network, said it had no dealings with the Russian authorities or Russian troops.
