On the night of 5 March, the Russians remotely booby-trapped an area in the north of Sumy Region with balloon fragmentation aerial bombs.
This was reported by the press service of the Sumy region police.
The Russians remotely booby-trapped the area near the village of Marchikhyna Buda in Shostka district with dangerous munitions.
The police explained that during the airstrikes the Russians used cluster bombs RBK-500. As part of one cassette 565 balloon bombs SHOAB-0,5 weighing 400 grams each.
In appearance, this object looks like a small silver-coloured ball with small "ribs" protruding from the body. Its appearance may attract the attention of children, so we advise parents to take this into account, and warn their relatives about the possible danger. We do not advise to touch such finds to anyone, - said in the message.
Police officers are cleaning the territory from these bombs. Residents of Sumy region are urged to be careful and in case of discovery of any explosive object to urgently contact the police at 102
