'I'm laughing - doesn't mean I'm on a picnic': artilleryman hits enemy with M101 howitzer (video)


Every day, the howitzer's crew works on the occupants' positions. The howitzer can hit a target at a distance of up to 10 kilometres.
Border guards of the Luhansk detachment hit the enemy with 105 mm M101 cannon. The report from the artillerymen's positions was shown by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
The report shows the work of artillerymen of the unit "Natus est primus - Born to be first", who destroy the enemy in the Bakhmut direction together with the unit "Phoenix" of the Lugansk border detachment.
You fire a shot, a shell casing comes out, you put the second one in and you can fire immediately, in a minute, even sooner," says the commander of the M101 artillery crew with the nickname "Bourbon".

In war, there is risk in the work of artillerymen as well. One day the position of "Bourbon" was shelled by the enemy, a shell exploded 5 metres from the gun and formed a crater more than 3 metres deep.

The105 mm Howitzer M101, (early variant 105 mm Howitzer M2A1) is an American howitzer of World War II. The gun has been in serial production since 1941, and is still in service with the armies of many countries around the world.
