Citizens of Afghanistan tried to get to Ukraine from Russia

In the Sumy region, border guards detained two Afghan citizens who illegally crossed the border from Russia to Ukraine on foot, the department says.

It became known that the "tourists" with the help of a GPS-navigator followed to the Ukrainian capital, and one of the EU countries was to become the final destination of their journey.

One of the foreigners, in addition to a passport, had a student card from Voronezh State University. Foreigners were detained to clarify all the circumstances of the offense, the department added.
