The head of intelligence said when the AFU will liberate Kherson

The AFU is trying to surround the city and isolate the Russian troops.
In an interview with The Drive , the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kirill Budanov of Ukraine, said that the battles in the Kherson direction are going on every day and the most combat-ready and trained units of the Russian Federation, in particular, troops and marines, are now in the regional center.
According to him, these troops are the basis of the group, which is replenished with mobilized ones. In general, there are about 40 thousand units in it.
According to Budanov, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to surround the city and isolate Russian troops:
This is exactly what we are trying to do. But outwardly they resist. They are trying to stop us from moving forward and you must understand that the fighting goes on daily.
Predicting the timing of the liberation of the city, Budanov suggested that the battles for Kherson could last for about a month.
At the same time, the head of Ukrainian intelligence confirmed the journalist's assumption that "the battle for Kherson will be bloody," but the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to alleviate the situation as much as possible, but, according to Budanov, "it will not do without a fight."
