Germany admits it actually contributed to the outbreak of war in Ukraine

Germany's justice minister has admitted that the construction of Nord Stream 2 was a political mistake.
German Justice Minister Marko Buschmann has said that Germany contributed to the outbreak of war against Ukraine:
"We are united on the side of Ukraine. But we must also be clear: In response to the annexation of Crimea, the commitment to Nord Stream 2 was, from today's perspective, Germany's contribution to the war.
Recall that the German government did not suspend the certification process for Nord Stream 2 until February 2022, and only after the Russian Federation declared its recognition of the independence of the areas in eastern Ukraine and Crimea that it has occupied since 2014.
"Nord Stream 2 is a gas pipeline about 1,200 kilometres long. The pipeline was used to deliver Russian gas to Germany. Work on the pipeline was fully completed in September 2021.
