German opposition leader says Scholz is being ignored by the EU

Merz believes that the Scholz government's foreign policy cannot be described as anything other than a "complete failure."
The incumbent Chancellor of Germany from the Social Democrats Olaf Scholz is in "political isolation" in the European Union. This was stated by the candidate for chancellor of Germany and leader of the opposition Christian Democratic Union (CDU) Friedrich Merz, writes ntv.
In particular, he pointed out that Scholz stopped inviting European leaders to meetings, due to the fact that the Chancellor often "lectures the world", considers only his opinion correct or silently sits out important meetings.
Unfortunately, you have to state: most European heads of state and government simply don't want to meet with the German chancellor anymore," Merz said.
As an example, he recalled French President Emmanuel Macron's recent visit to Poland, where he and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk discussed Ukraine policy. In Merz's opinion, Scholz's absence at this meeting suggests that he is being shunned.
Note, the future candidate for Chancellor of Germany, the leader of the opposition party Christian Democratic Union Friedrich Merz said that if elected, he would hand over to Ukraine German long-range missiles if Putin refuses to stop attacks on civilian Ukrainian objects.
