Gaidai spoke about the timing of the de-occupation of the Luhansk region

You don't have to go home anytime soon.
The liberation of the occupied territories of the Lugansk region will not take place in the near future, and therefore it is not worth planning the return of the residents of the region to their homes. This was announced by the head of the Lugansk regional military administration Sergei Gaidai.
As a person who was born in Severodonetsk, Luhansk region, of course, I want the de-occupation of the Luhansk region to start tomorrow. But the de-occupation of the Lugansk region will not happen soon. But it will definitely take place. We need to win the war as a whole. Our victory also means the de-occupation of the Luhansk region,” Gaidai said.
He noted that before calling people home, the authorities will have to fulfill a number of conditions: to clear the territory, to restore the infrastructure.
Of course, I want to immediately restore houses, schools, and launch kindergartens. For us, the priority is people. Therefore, the first step is de-occupation, the second step is demining, then critical infrastructure, and then perestroika,” Gaidai said.
He stressed that during the hostilities the invaders completely destroyed the entire critical infrastructure of the region: gas supply, water supply and electricity supply.
Recall that the authorities recommended that people who remained in settlements where infrastructure was destroyed leave them and move to more comfortable conditions in the territory controlled by Ukraine for the winter.
